Abbie is coming home!
On another note, Terri is graciously meeting with both Chloe and Chi's birth families. It's all set up and everyone is looking forward to it. I will be receiving pictures of the families as well as much needed information. I can't tell you how much this means to me to have the full story of both my children's beginnings. There is so much negative talk about international adoption and the selfishness involved. Hard for me to imagine but nonetheless it's there. Sorta like the way Sarah Palin took a whipping for being a symbolic figure of goodness. But anyway I have the results and there was NO selfishness, greed or anything surrounding the adoption of my two children, it was only an act of love and selflessness and God's grace and I can't wait to share more later.
This peom below helped me during the adoption process and I had envisioned this as the true story of the adoption of both my children and yes it is true word for word!
Two Different Kinds of Love
Once there were two women...Who never knew each other... One you don't remember...The other you call Mother... Two different lives...Shaped to make you one...One became your guiding star...The other is your sun...The first one gave you life... The other is there for you to live it...The first gave you a need for love...The second is there to give it One gave you a nationality... The other chose your a name... One gave you talent...The other gives you aim... One gave you emotion... The other calms your fears... One saw your first sweet smile...The other dries your tears... One sought for you a home...That she could not provide...The other prayed for a child...And her hope was not denied... And now Chloe and Chi you will ask... The age-old question unanswered through the years... Heredity or environment...Which are you a product of?...Neither my son and daughter, neither... Just two different kinds of Love...

Miss Altus
This is Kelissa signing autographs! Yes, Altus really sets the stage for these girls to be role models for other girls. They do a great job supporting and promoting them.
I had to add this one. Here is little Chloe at the 'after party' sitting, yes, right at the table with Miss Oklahoma! She knows where to place herself. I think she will be a successful young lady looking at her experience as a two year old! And just a side note, it is after midnight in the photo and she is still going strong!Wednesday, February 18, 2009
Updates

Kade has been working out as well. He is getting ready for track season. He is an xbox live gamer and we have to limit his exposure or he will do it non stop. Oh the life of a 14 year old. No worries and life is good. He is working on his dance moves. I'll have to learn how to post a video. You'd love it!

Chloe is my little show off! She is really getting her game on. She is completely potty trained now. I never even have to assist! She is a true blue fan of Kelissa's and mimics all her dance moves. She really has potential. Oh no! fifteen more years of pageantry! She is talking in full sentences and knows her colors and learns new stuff every day. She loves all my drama words and uses them frequently. The latest is 'oh my goodness!' and from Kade 'dangit!' We're working on that one!

Chi is my little mama's boy. He is getting growing like a weed! I think he might be my tall child. He is also talking up a storm. (not to be outdone by his big sister) He wants to be a bullrider. I don't know how that's going to work since he wails every time he gets a boo boo at the top of his lungs MMAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAA!!

Happy Valentine's Day to the ONE I LOVE!
We spent the entire four years of college together doing homework and hanging out. My roommate Tonia surely did get sick of you!
You were always the affectionate one and I was the one always pushing you away! Ha, some things never change!
We were so crazy! The JOP plus $20.00 and we got married and headed to the ski slopes. I wouldn't have it any other way, (except I would like some wedding pictures), but then the only attendees were the janitor and secretary at the courthouse. lol Those were the days! You wanted to be a millionaire by thirty and have ONE kid. Well you didn't get your way!
The years since then we worked hard and grew to love each other and the Lord. We had three children (God's finest handy work as you call them). God has taken us on some marvelous adventures as well as some times we had to trust completely in Him. You know the ones. Like the time I resigned my job to be a stay-at-home mom. We didn't have two pennies to rub together and only God could put food on the table. Remember what He did? Oh the miracles we've seen.
When it comes to fun this family wrote the book. I can't think of much we haven't done. We are daredevils and outdoor lovers. Our kids would rather spend time together than any other thing on earth. Thank you for making our home a place of joy.
Then came the most recent chapter of our lives. We got Chloe and Chi. The journey was rocky and difficult, but you were there every step of the way. This 'big' family was not originally your idea but you always trust when God speaks to me. Now you have come to love and appreciate every aspect it has added to your life. We are on this journey together through the good and bad, ups and downs, highs and lows, and there's no one I would rather have by my side than you. You are my best friend, my confidante, my encourager, and my love. Thank you for being by my side. I look forward to the next fifty years spending it with you! I Love You! Happy Valentine's Day!Tuesday, February 10, 2009

Sit still, my daughter! Just sit calmly still! Nor deem these days--these waiting days--as ill! The One who loves thee best, who plans thy way, Hath not forgotten thy great need today! And, if He waits, 'tis sure He waits to prove To thee, His tender child, His heart's deep love.
Sit still, my daughter! Just sit calmly still! Thou longest much to know thy dear Lord's will! While anxious thoughts would almost steal their way Corrodingly within, because of His delayPersuade thyself in simple faith to rest That He, who knows and loves, will do the best.
Sit still, my daughter! Just sit calmly still! Nor move one step, not even one, until His way hath opened. Then, ah then, how sweet! How glad thy heart, and then how swift thy feet Thy inner being then, ah then, how strong! And waiting days not counted then too long.
Sit still, my daughter! Just sit calmly still! What higher service could'st thou for Him fill? 'Tis hard! ah yes! But choicest things must cost! For lack of losing all how much is lost! 'Tis hard, 'tis true! But then--He giveth grace To count the hardest spot the sweetest place.--J. D. Smith
