Chloe Broke Her Collar Bone!

BeforeAfter

Yes it happened! My little climber finally had the fall that broke a bone. Yesterday we were over at some friends' house and Chloe, Chi, and their little girl were outside playing in the backyard. From all the toddler talk it seems Chloe was getting down from the trampoline by falling into the other little girls arms who is not much bigger than Chloe. The two of them fell to the ground. The other little girl got a really bad bump on the temple and Chloe got the broken bone. They both ran into the house sobbing and down right screaming. At first we thought she had just gotten overly frightened and tried to console her which did nothing. We headed to the emergency room, but not before going to the park to feed the ducks just to make sure she was not pulling one of her fast ones. That didn't stop her crying so off we went. I have always heard the saying "You've got a tiger by the tail". Well Chloe put a whole new meaning to that saying. She didn't want anything to do with going to the doctor. She screamed, kicked, yelled, fought and Jeff and I just looked like dumb puzzled inexperienced parents. I had not seen this side of Chloe, or for that matter ANY of my children! It was quite a display for everyone, but I can say we were in and out of that emergency room in record time!!!!! She has the cutest little sling and will have to go back for more xrays later this week. She really feels bad for the way she acted and has the sweetest little bashful grin when you bring it up. All in all she is doing good and tolerating the pain well, we just can't lift her from under the arms.
YES, I have a new camera! I will post pictures later.

OMGosh! I hope she heals fast! I think I would of been scared out of my pants. Neither of my kids have broke a bone, knock on wood. The only scary thing we had happen was with Logan when he fell down the stairs and his head went thru the drywall at the bottom.

Praying for a fast recovery.

I broke my collar bone when I was 5 and I remember how much better I felt once they got the brace on.
