Abbie is coming home!

Ok this is a little premature. Terri does not have the actual pink yet, but she should get it today and be traveling next week!!!!!! I am so excited and you should be too! I know many of you have been praying for Abbie to come home and the miracle is finally going to happen! This process began the same time my adoption started with Chloe in about july of 2006! Yes, that is too long!!! Terri and I have become the best of friends and I can't wait to share in the joy of her bringing Abbie home!

On another note, Terri is graciously meeting with both Chloe and Chi's birth families. It's all set up and everyone is looking forward to it. I will be receiving pictures of the families as well as much needed information. I can't tell you how much this means to me to have the full story of both my children's beginnings. There is so much negative talk about international adoption and the selfishness involved. Hard for me to imagine but nonetheless it's there. Sorta like the way Sarah Palin took a whipping for being a symbolic figure of goodness. But anyway I have the results and there was NO selfishness, greed or anything surrounding the adoption of my two children, it was only an act of love and selflessness and God's grace and I can't wait to share more later.

This peom below helped me during the adoption process and I had envisioned this as the true story of the adoption of both my children and yes it is true word for word!

Two Different Kinds of Love

Once there were two women...Who never knew each other... One you don't remember...The other you call Mother... Two different lives...Shaped to make you one...One became your guiding star...The other is your sun...The first one gave you life... The other is there for you to live it...The first gave you a need for love...The second is there to give it One gave you a nationality... The other chose your a name... One gave you talent...The other gives you aim... One gave you emotion... The other calms your fears... One saw your first sweet smile...The other dries your tears... One sought for you a home...That she could not provide...The other prayed for a child...And her hope was not denied... And now Chloe and Chi you will ask... The age-old question unanswered through the years... Heredity or environment...Which are you a product of?...Neither my son and daughter, neither... Just two different kinds of Love...

OMGosh! I saw your title post and thought Terri received pink, until I read the post. I'm so excited for little Abbie coming home soon.

That's awesome that Terri is meeting with the birthfamilies! We just sent our info to Guatemala.

Lisa, I can't even describe how happy I am for Abbie to finally be joining a forever family. My heart has broke for Terri and her family over and over with each set back they had throughout this process. All I can say is anyone who doubted if God and Miracles were real, didn't see this story from beginning to end, did they? In fact all of us who shared the same agency for that matter! Doors were opened and miracles were performed over and over... and each of our children made it HOME! I am so excited to see Terri DID get pink this pm!!!!!
